Hippity Hop Monday

Hi! Its Monday which means it is Hippity Hop time! If you just started here then go on over to the Ippity Blog to get a list of blogs to hop to. I am sure you will not be disappointed in the inspiration you see!

Today I have a birthday card to show you. DH's baby cousin turned three this past weekend and this is the card that I made for her:

This flower is from the Ippity set called "Faith Blooms". The best thing about this set is that it contains two flowers and two sentiment stamps for only $6! I also used the butterfly from one of my most favourite Ippity sets, "Now and Always". This one contains 4 really big flower stamps, a leaf stamp, a vine with butterflies, and this butterfly stamp. The blue and yellow card stock was embossed with my BRAND NEW BIG SHOT!! I am so excited to have it! I also heat embossed the outline of the butterfly with my Martha Stewart embossing powder and heat gun. I am not sure where the ribbon came from.

Here is the inside of the card. I like using a little bit of embellishment that is the same as the front, just to tie it all together. This stamp is from the Ippity Set "Party Hat Wishes". I use this sentiment on almost all my birthday cards! If you want this set or any others you can get them by visiting my sales blog.

This card was made using the Unity Hip Hop Sketch Challenge #46.

Well, that's all I have for you today! Now keep on hoppin' to see what else you can see!

Jingle Belles "ROCK"!

Have you been over to the Jingle Belles blog yet? If you want a great place to go to get inspiration to get you Christmas cards done then that is the place for you! They put up a challenge every week and you get one chance for every card made during the month to win prizes! Isn't that awesome! So, you get inspiration, motivation, less stress at Christmas by having your cards done, and the chance to win prizes. I don't see how you could lose!

This week the challenge is to make a card with print on it. You could use the print as a background or an accent. You could also use a sentiment and make that the main focus of your card. Here is what I made:

I used a page from a Christmas magazine as the background print. I also distressed the cardstock behind the print a little bit. Then I added some ribbon and the sentiment, which came from the Ippity set "Season of Joy". The tag stamp around the sentiment came from the same set. The bird came from another Ippity set, "Sing A New Song". (These stamp sets can be ordered from my Ippity Sales Blog.) I embossed all the stamping with Martha Stewart embossing powder and heat gun.

Thank you for visiting my blog! I will have another Christmas card to share with you on Friday for the Friends With Flair blog hop. Maybe I will have a couple of cards...we'll see!

I also combined this card with the Ippity Hippity Hop Twist Challenge...which is due in a couple of days!

Here it is:

I used the Ippity stamp set "Party Hat Wishes", which you can find on my sales blog!

One last thing before I go. Over on Splitcoast Stampers I have joined in a recipe swap for drinks...I am doing Starbucks Hot Chocolate and Punch...but we are in need of a few more people to join. If you are interested you should check it out the swap!

Well, that's it for my blog post today. Don't forget to continue on the hop at the Unity Stamp Blog. Thanks for stopping by!

Hippity Hop and All Things Unity

Hi! Its Hippity Hop time again! WOOT WOOT! If this is your first stop on the hop and you want to start at the beginning then you should go on over to the Ippity Blog to get a list of participating blogs and to get a look at this months Hippity Hop Twist Challenge where you can win some very cool prizes just for making something crafty!

The project I am going to share with you today is a project that I did for the All Things Unity challenge. This week, the challenge is to use Unity or Ippity Stamps to make an altered item. My grandmothers birthday is coming up so I decided to do an altered glass container for her and fill it with all kinds of goodies. Here is the containers before picture:

The top looks green but that is just the reflection of my green kitchen wall. It is actually chrome.

Here is the after pictures:

I used an Ippity set that had never seen the ink before and I am glad I did! I love it! The set is from the newest release and is called "Sing A New Song". The brown ribbon is from Martha Stewart and it is the adhesive ribbon. Oh! I used another Ippity set for the tag! That is the "Season Of Joy" set. I also used Martha Stewart heat embossing powder for the sentiment as well as the bird. By the way, if you need any Ippity stamps check out my sales blog for information on how to get them.

Thank you for visiting! Now, hop on over to the Ippity Blog to see who is next!

Double The Chance To Win A Prize!

I don't create to win prizes...I love the feeling of using my hands to make something out of bits of paper, glue, and ink. It is awesome! But...with that said...I love winning prizes too! Who don't!! So, with the new challenge over at Jingle Belles I get to create AND get not one, but TWO chances to win some awesome prizes! That's because they have teamed up with Sketchy Thursdays for this week and when you create a card with ST's sketch and make it into a Christmas card to post on JB, you can post the SAME card on two places!! Hence, doubling your chance to win a prize!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

That awesome background paper was sent to me along with a ton of other beautiful paper by Angie (auntangie on SCS). She is so sweet!! Thank you Angie!!

I love this chipboard snowflake!! I have a ton of stickers that I have not been using lately so, as an attempt to use up what I already have, I am trying to use more stickers.

These stamps are from the Unity set called "Let it Snow".

Now, I want to show you what my "craft area" looks like right now.

This space also doubles as one section of my counter and my stove. But, mostly, its my craft area! Oh, I cannot wait for the day to come when my craft room is completed down in the basement.

All of this stuff was dragged out of bedroom to make ONE card!

I am just glad that there is more counter space in case someone wants to, I don't know, MAKE FOOD in the kitchen!!

So that's it for today. I will have another post on Monday for the Hippity Hop. See you then!

Friends With Flair...Just Because

Hi! Its the Unity Friends with Flair time again! If this is your first stop on the blog and you want to start from the beginning that you can do so by visiting the Unity Stamp Co. Blog. There, you will get a list of participating blogs as well as the information on how you can win a bunch of Unity stamps...just for commenting on the blogs! How cool is that?

Today I have a pretty simple card to share with you because they are my favourite kind to make! I made this one using the color challenge for the Ippity Hippity Hop Twist Challenge for this month. You can also win some pretty cool loot for participating into those challenges. Anyways, here is my card using Ippity by Unity stamps.

The flower stamp came from the "Now and Always" set and the just because sentiment came from the "How YOU Doin'" set, which is one of the sets that I use the most because it is so versatile. If you are interested in these or any other ippity stamps you can check out my ippity sale blog for information on how to order them.

Well, that's all I have for you today. Please keep hopping along to see what everyone else has for you!

I also entered this one into the Hippity Hop Twist Sketch Challenge. On this one, I used the "How YOU Doin'" set which just came out this past fall, to stamp the happy birthday sentiment as well as the butterfly's. The cute oval around happy birthday is also from a set that came out this past fall, "Cherish Your Dreams". You can get any of these stamp sets over at my sales blog.

I also made a card for the Hip Hop Sketch Challenge #44.

I used the "With Sympathy" Unity store kit for the sentiment. The butterfly came from one of my favourite Ippity sets, "Now and Always". If you like flowers, you would love this set as well because it has the most AWESOME flowers!!

Three Birds With One Stone!

Happy Sunday! Today I am posting a card that I made for not one, not two, but THREE challenges! I love it when I can take inspiration from more than one challenge and make something that fits in all. That is a challenge itself! So, here it is:

First, I used the Sketch Challenge for week one of the January Hippity Hop Twist Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. Then I used the rules for this weeks Jingle Belles challenge: No Red. I also used one of my favourite Unity/Ippity stamps, from the "Season of Joy", which includes the Joy stamp as well as the Holly and the Tag stamp, so it can be entered into this weeks "All Things Unity" challenge.  This set as well as any other ippity set can be purchased on my sales blog.

So there you have it. Three birds with one stone...er...card!

Thanks for stopping in!

Dreaming of Summer...

I love summer. Here in Newfoundland it only lasts a couple of months. We get fall for 2 month, Winter for about 5 months, Spring for 3 months and Summer for about 2 months. That's it...Winter dominates BIG TIME! So, today to get out of my wintertime funk I decided to break out a few beach pictures and get them scrapped. I used sketch #240 over at Scrapbook Challenges as my inspiration.

Here is the sketch:

 Here is my page:

I also added Daphney's picture to the page that I had done...

That's my short blog post for today. Check back on Monday for the H{ippity} Hop!

FWF Friday and its Christmas!

OK, not really. But, the weather we are having makes it feel more like Christmas than it did in December! You know whats better than Christmas? FRIDAYS!! And with Fridays bring the "Friends with Flair Blog Hop" by Unity. If you just started here you can go on over to the Unity Blog to get all the details and the list of blogs to visit.

Here is my card for today:

Yep! Another Christmas card! This one was done last month as a part of a One Sheet Wonder template I found online. I wish I could remember exactly where I found it but I can't! I know it was over on SCS...somewhere. I used a stamp from the "Season of Joy" ippity set that came out in the Spring 2010 collection. If you are interested in ippity you can visit my sales blog as well, since I am an ippity chick!

Thanks for stopping in! Now, continue on to see the rest of the creations!

H{Ippity} Hop Monday!

Yay! Its Monday! I know, I know...Mondays are yucky...I hear ya! But, Mondays mean H{ippity} Hop so its not all bad! If you are here for the blog hop you should probably stop over at the {ippity} blog to get a list of participants and to get the low down on how you can possibly win a prize by joining into the Hippity Hop Twist Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers (SCS).

Now, on to my card. This time I made a Christmas card. Imagine! Me! The Grinch making Christmas cards in February! Its not a secret that I am not a big fan of the Christmas holiday. One of the reasons why I don't like it is because of the stress of having to get everything done and, like most moms, having to do most of the work myself. So, this year, I have joined the Christmas Card Challenge at SCS and also taking part in the challenges posted at Jingle Belles, just to see if some of the stress can be taken out by having my cards done in plenty of time! This card was done for the current Jingle Belles challenge, which was to use something warm on a card...mitts, hats, felt...whatever you felt was warm.

I used a Unity Set for the Hat and the Mittens. The Warmest Wishes sentiment came from the "Season of Joy" set from the Spring 2010 collection. You can get your {ippity} fix on my sales blog as well, since I am an {ippity} chick!

Thanks for visiting!! Hop on over to the next one on the list to see some more great projects!

FWF Friday!!

WOOHOO! Its Friday! That means it is time for the Friends with Flair Blog Hop! If you just started here, you should pop on over to the Unity Blog to get a list of participants. You don't want to miss out on any of the inspiration.

Here is my contribution to the hop.

This is a quick and easy sour cream container that I whipped up for a Valentines treat for my niece. It took me about 5-10 minutes to make it so it won't be a shame when she rips it open to get at her Hershey Kisses! There are tutorials all over the place for these, I am not sure where I got mine but I saw it a while back. Then I used an ippity stamp set that just came out this past fall, "How YOU Doin'", to make the little heart and the enjoy sentiment. If you are interested in ippity, guess what? I'm an ippity chick! Yep! You can visit my sales blog to get a viewing of this set as well as all the others.

Thank you all for visiting my blog. Now hop on over to the next blog for more ideas!

Blast From The Past

Hi everybody!! Hows it going on this cold February day? It is not too bad here...cold, but I did catch a glimpse of the sun earlier!

I have a different kind of project for you today. While I was looking at the Jingle Belles blog (an awesome challenge site to get you motivated to get your Christmas cards done) that I found on my friend Candy's blog, I found another challenge blog. This one is called Flashback Friday Challenges and it challenges you to post (or re-post) one of your past projects that is related to a certain theme. This weeks challenge is the first time you used glitter on a project. Most people are re-posting projects that they have placed on their blogs and they are a couple of years old. My blog is too new for that! So, I decided to take a picture of the very first scrapbook page that I made using glitter...that was made way back in 2002! So, here it is!

This was back in the day for sure!! I had to manage with what I could find in our little town and all I had for inspiration was a book on how to scrapbook. Just about no one in my area scrapbooked at that time either so there was no demand for supplies here. Oh! If you can't see the glitter, it is around some of the balloons. I used glitter glue pens from the dollar store! (I think they are still in my stash!! Man! I have to clean that out!)

So, there you have it! My very first project using glitter. I hope you liked it! I know I had fun!
