Oh how I long for the days when Spring shows its beautiful self! Will it ever come? If you saw outside my door today you may think that no...Spring is not coming to Newfoundland this year. Today it is more Winter out there than it was in January. There is snow everywhere! We even had a storm yesterday! What a way to start a Monday morning. Thank goodness we have the Hippity Hop Blog Hop today! Something to lift my spirits! So, if this is your first stop you should go on over to the Ippity blog to get a list of blogs to visit as well as a look at the new challenge posted. If you participate in the challenge you may get the chance to win an awesome prize package!
The project I have to share with you today is a recipe card that I did for a swap a while back. I have never shared it on my blog so I figured that today would be a great day for that! Here it is:
As you can see, I did a lot of inking to get the embossing on the K&Company paper to pop. I also used an Ippity stamp set for the flowers, "Now and Always". You can find this set and others on my Ippity Sales Blog.
Well, that's all I have to share with you today! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to continue on the hop to see the other awesome creations!

It a beautiful day!
Wow! What a beautiful Monday morning we have here in the Codroy Valley! The sun is shining and the sky is so blue! Gorgeous! What a great morning for the Hippity Hop Blog Hop!! So, if this is the first blog you are visiting you may want to scoot on over to the Ippity Blog to get a list of other blogs to visit as well as the new challenge for the Ippity Hippity Hop Twist Challenge. If you enter a project into any if the challenges (there are 4!) then you get your name entered to win a fabulous prize! The more projects you enter, the more ballots you receive.
So, on to my card! Today I am going to show you a card that I made for my FIL for his birthday, which is early next month.
He has farm land and love tractors so I though I would break out my "Farm Fresh" set to make the tractor and the stalks. Can you believe this is the first time this set has seen ink? Believe me, it will see a lot more ink now. This set is awesome! I paper pieced the tires onto the tractor and I colored the stalks, sky and ground with watercolor pencils. The happy birthday sign is from the "How YOU Doin'" set which I seem to use for so many projects. That's because it is so great! You can find any of the Ippity sets on my Ippity Sales Blog.
I also added a little bling to the happy birthday sign and an entering it into the All Things Unity challenge. Have you visited that blog yet? If not, you really should. They have some awesome challenges to get your creativity juices flowing!
That's it for me today. Make sure you continue on the hop to see what everyone else has done.
Thanks for visiting!

Always in my heart...
It Friday again!! My gosh! Where is the time going?! Someone told me a long time ago that as you get older, time goes quicker. Boy! Were they right! Since this week has flew by, and it is Friday already, that means the the Unity Friends With Flair blog hop snuck up on me as well. Luckily I had a project made already.
So, first things first. If this is your first stop on the hop, you should probably visit the Unity Stamp Co. Blog to get a list of participants and to get a look at what the "blinkie" looks like. If you find the blinkie on a blog, you may want to leave a comment because there will be a winner picked from them to get some free stamps! Yippee!
And here is my project!
For this one I used two sets. The jar and the sentiment came from the ippity set "Quotes a 'la Happy" and the hearts came from the February Unity Kit of the Month, which I just became a member of last month! These kits are awesome, by the way! They are HUGE and they have lots of variety. The possibilities are endless on what you can use them for! This months kit looks awesome too and I can't wait to get it in my mailbox!

Peace...
Today I have a card to share with you that I made for the latest challenge at Jingle Belles. The challenge was to use white, kraft, and pale blue.
I decided to use a a cute snowman stamp from the "Wintertime Let it Snow" kit by Unity/Echo Park that I got on Crafty Steals. Speaking of Crafty Steals, have you checked out that site? It is awesome! They have a new "steal" everyday and you can also purchase past steals that are still in stock. Ok, back to the card. I also used hemp to tie around it and some adhesive jewels...just because I love bling! The stamped scallops are from an Ippity set that I purchased recently, "Sweet Thoughts of Spring". This set is awesome for all your Easter and spring projects! The PEACE sentiment is from the ippity set "Kissmas and Mistletoe".
That's it for today!

Its Monday and time for Hippity Hop!If this is your first stop you should probably head on over to the Ippity Blog to get a list of people participating in this blog hop and to get a look at the awesome challenges you could do. There is also a great prize that you could win for doing the challenges!
Boy! Time is going WAY to quickly!! It is already the middle of March. Before we know it summer will be here again. And then Christmas! If you have been following my blog you already know that I have been trying to complete my Christmas cards early this year. I have joined up with the Christmas Card Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers and also taking part in the weekly challenges at Jingle Belles in order to keep my mojo going. Today I have a Christmas card to show you! I did this one using the Ippity Hippity Hop Twist Challenge Sketch Challenge for this month. Here it is!
I used two ippity stamp sets for this one. The tag stamp is from the "Season of Joy" set and the sentiment and mistletoe is from "Kissmas and Mistletoe" set. Check out my sales blog for info on how to get these or any other ippity sets. I embossed the tag, sentiment and the mistletoe using Martha Stewart embossing powder and heat gun. The ribbon is adhesive ribbon also from Martha Stewart. The jewels are from Hero Arts.
I will have more cards to share with you tomorrow so stop by and take a look!
Thanks for visiting! Make sure you continue on the hop to see all the other creations!

FWF Friday
Hey! Its Friends with Flair Friday again! If this is your first stop then you should go on over to the Unity Stamp Co. Blog to get a list of blogs participating in the blog hop and to get the rules on how you could win a bunch of stamps JUST for commenting on a blog!! How cool is that!
To be honest, I had to rush to get something done for the hop today. I signed up for the hop yesterday, before I had anything made, and then my 3 year old got really clingy and I couldn't get away from him long enough to do anything! So, as soon as he was asleep last night I figured that I would get at something. The thing is, I needed to do something quick because he was not feeling well and who knows when he would be waking up again! I figured that I would make a couple of bookmarks, since I have been using scraps of paper or pieces of the Canadian Tire flyer to hold my page in the last few books that I have read! They are really simple and took no time at all. I didn't add any layers to them either because I like a nice, flat bookmark. I apologize for the pictures...for some reason the blue ink that I used just didn't want to show up right! Anyways, here they are:
For this one I used a paper towel to blot and distress all over the paper and around the edges with Unity Haystack ink. Then I stamped it using the music sheet stamp from the "Music Of My Heart" set from Ippity using Raw Sienna Unity ink. Then I used Colorbox ink to stamp the butterfly and sentiment from the Ippity "Cherish Your Dreams" set. Then I added the ribbon and voila! Done!
This one was blotted with the paper towel using haystack ink as well but the design and grooves on the paper towel gave a really awesome texture print to the paper. Then I just added the stars and moons as well as the WISH sentiment from the "Moon Beams & Heart Strings" Ippity set. Then, again, added a little bit of ribbon and it was finished! Easy peasy!
Well, that's all I have for you today. Now, keep on hopping to see what everyone else has created!

Monday's Hippity Hop and Jingle Belles
Hi! I love starting off the week with the Hippity Hop! It seems to make the day a lot better. And, if they day starts to turn into a typical Monday (Yuck!) then I just take time out to visit the blogs on the hop and see everyones wonderful creations! So, if you are here for the blog hop and this is your first stop you should head on over to the Ippity Blog to get the list of participants and to see what the newest challenge is in the Ippity Hippity Hop Twist Challenge at SCS.
Today I have yet another Christmas card for you to see. I have been slack with completing my Februray cards for the Christmas Card Challenge on SCS so I figured that this would be a good opportunity to get them done...well...at least get one more done! The challenge this week over at Jingle Belles, Home For The Holidays, also inspired my creation. Here it is!
For this one I used felt with sparkles in it for the snow...although you can't see the sparkles in the picture. I also used the Ippity set "House a Home". Visit my sales blog if you are interested in this or any other Ippity set.
Well, that's all I have for you today. I am planning on getting crafty later so I may have more to share in the next few days!
Don't forget to hop on over to the next blog! Have fun!
