Chick Picks Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Chick Picks Blog Hop, celebrating the official launch of our brand new challenge blog, Chick Challenges {with Ippity}!  Chick Challenges was created by the Unity Endorsed Ippity Chicks to provide you with inspiring sketches, creative project ideas, and the chance to win some fabulous Ippity stamps!

Our blog hop will run from Oct. 1 to Oct. 5.  Each day, we will feature 5 new Ippity Chicks and their projects.  We will be sharing projects made using our favorite Ippity stamp sets.  To sweeten the deal even more, Chick Challenges is giving away Ippity stamp sets to (2) lucky commenters!

To win, you must: 1) become a "follower" of the Chick Challenges blog (www.chickchallengeswithippity.blogspot.com); 2) visit each stop on the hop and leave a comment; and 3) come back to the Chick Challenges blog and tell us what YOUR favorite Ippity stamp set is.  (You can view all of Ippity's stamp sets by clicking on the "catalog" tab at the top of the Chick Challenges blog.

I'm so excited about this challenge blog! The chicks that sell Ippity Stamps are just as AWESOME as the stamps themselves! This way you get the best of both worlds...you get to meet the chicks AND you get to use the stamps! Plus, each week there will be prizes...and who doesn't love free stuff!! I love it so much that I'm giving away an Ippity set too! Wanna win it? Well, all you gotta do is comment on my post...that's it! You can tell me what you think of my project or you can tell me what you had for lunch...it doesn't matter! Then, check back here on October 6th to see if you are the winner. Easy peasy!

Now, on to my project!

Today I have a card to show you. I saw some really cute flowers made from string in a card magazine and I HAD to try it out! They are so simple to make! You just cut out some circles from cardstock (its best to use a color similar to your string), put a bunch of adhesive on it, and start winding your string from the outside of the circle in towards the middle. I stuck a button on each to complete them...and to cover up the end of the string. I'll throw some of that string into my blog candy too so you can try this for yourself!

I think they came out pretty cute! The leaves completed the project and they are from my all time favourite Ippity set "Now and Always". The sentiment "thinking of you" came from a newer set "Flowers + Friends = Priceless".

Look at all those GORGEOUS flowers! And that leaf is perfect!

This set is just ADORABLE! I just love flowers!

And here's the set I'm giving away.

Isn't it cute?!?!!

Don't forget to leave a comment on this post (and the other blogs) for a chance to win the prizes!

And, if you need some Ippity goodness you can check out my sales blog to place an order.

Now, hop on back to Chick Challenges to comment on what YOUR favourite Ippity set is!

Thanks for stopping by!

Love, Patricia

I love love LOVE that set 117! Your flowers above the set are very original! I've not seen anyone use yarn in that capacity - and the leaves are gorgeous on that designer paper. Thanks for the ideas!

Oh, goooossssh! I just love your card...you're so going to start a new trend!! hehe..I've gotta try it..I've got a whole whack of bakers twine headed my way! Do you know about glubers? They're giant glue dots. I've never used them..but saw them being used to make those ribbon flowers! This would be perfect!

BTW: I didn't have lunch today. :( Boo! This is what happens when you leave for work LATE and don't PREPLAN! ;)

I'm so excited for these upcoming challenges! I love the set you are giving away, adoRable!
